  • Our income requirement for new incoming applicants is $12,000 per person in the family per year or less. For example, a family of 4 with a total annual income of $48,000 or less would be eligible to apply; a family of 4 with a total annual income of more than $48,000 per year would not be eligible.
  • Applicants must complete through their high school a financial aid application by March 15, 2017.

Madonna Scholar Expectations

If a scholarship award is offered to a student, the student and a parent must sign a scholarship agreement (English version | Spanish version) accepting the terms of the scholarship. This agreement acknowledges that the Madonna Foundation shares financial and academic records with the high schools, and it also includes a photo release for scholars.

Madonna Scholars are expected to do the following:

  1. Maintain an acceptable academic, discipline and attendance record at school, demonstrating effort. Madonna Scholars are expected to maintain a minimum of a “C” Grade Point Average. Students falling below a “C” average will be placed on academic probation with the Madonna Foundation. Weekly tutoring will be required either through the school or through the Foundation and paid for by the Madonna Foundation if necessary.
  2. Attend and participate in Madonna Scholars’ programming throughout the year. Each scholar is required to attend 5 events and should plan on spending and average of 20 hours per school year dedicated to Madonna Foundation programming.
  3. Respond to the Madonna Foundation Director and /or Manager in a timely matter. Scholars and guardians are expected to be responsive to the Foundation, returning phone calls and emails within 3 business days.

* Cases of noncompliance will be reviewed by Madonna Foundation’s administration and may result in termination of the scholarship.
