First Look for Charity

For over 25 years, First Look for Charity at the Chicago Auto Show has raised more than $50 million for charities in Chicagoland and northwest Indiana.  As one of the 17 charities benefitting from this event, our legal entity known as Franciscan Community Benefit Services has received more than $1,352,000 in the last 13 years from First Look for Charity.

First Look for Charity will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at McCormick Place in Chicago. This sneak preview of the Chicago Auto Show enables participants to view the nation’s largest auto show before it opens to the public. We hope you will join us for this black tie gala!  With the purchase of a ticket and in-person attendance at the drawing on this very special evening, guests are eligible to win a 2022 Buick Enclave and a 2022 GMC Yukon Denali!

By partnering with us through your purchase of tickets, you are helping us change the lives of so many:

St. Jude House, a 40-bed domestic violence shelter located in Crown Point, Indiana, offers a safe haven for victims and their dependent children fleeing domestic abuse, providing meals, basic needs, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, support groups and specialized services for children.  Since its inception in 1995, St. Jude House has served 13,500 victims to heal from the trauma of domestic abuse and break the cycle of violence.

The Madonna Foundation serves at-risk and underserved teen girls in the Chicago area through scholarships to attend all-female Catholic secondary schools as well as robust academic, leadership and college readiness programming. The only one of its kind in the region, the Foundation has awarded more than $3 million in funds, representing more than 1,300 scholarships since it was first established in 2001.  Our scholar graduation rate is 99.7% and 99% of graduates go on to pursue higher education.

The Gift of Care Program provides financial assistance for residents in our senior living communities who find themselves in a difficult financial situation and need help to offset the cost of their care. Our residents choose us not only for the quality of care we offer, but for the strong sense of family our communities embody.

We rely on our generous friends and supporters like you to help us make this event a success to meet the many needs of those we serve.   We hope to see you on this very special evening!
